Witchblade Takeru Manga

From Top Cow and Bandai Entertainment, Takeru is a young Japanese girl who is being raised by Buddhist nuns. The convent, though, holds a dark secret: a chamber houses a locked box that contains the Witchblade - a powerful artifact that has existed throughout the ages. Takeru has nightmares about this Witchblade, not understanding what they mean. But when demons attack the convent, Takeru discovers the Witchblade and unwittingly becomes its bearer!

Originally serialized in Japan’s popular magazine Champion Red and written by Witchblade Anime head writer, Yasuko Kobayashi, this uniquely Japanese tale is considered part of the Witchblade canon. Now collected for the first time for an American audience in standard comic format and in full color.

Wth?! Witchblade? I could have sworn this was Battle Vixen, lol. I was about to say, 'hmm.. another Ikki Tousen post?' x)

But witch blade is badass. I think more than Battle Vixens :]

Quite a striking similarity in artwork no doubt, and from what little i've seen of the manga, some mild fan service as well.

witchblade (from all of the two episodes i've seen) kicks butt
