Trinity Blood was originally a series of Japanese novels written by Yoshida Sunao (who died before he could complete the story), later translated to manga drawn by Kiyo Kuujou with 7 manga volumes currently available, the anime series has 24 episodes in total.The series takes place in the future, where following an apocalyptic war the Roman Catholic Church has become a major military power, it's goals include the protection of humanity against the vampiric Methuselahs.
