Wizards of the Coast (aka WotC or Wizards) is an American publisher of games, primarily based on fantasy and science fiction themes. Originally founded by Peter Adkison in 1990, the company popularized the collectible card game genre with Magic: The Gathering in the early 1990's.
In it's lifetime the company has commissioned a who's who of legendary fantasy artists and in the process amassed an extraordinary collection of some of the most capitivating pieces of fantasy artwork. Releases of it's many franchised brands have inlcuded the recent Magic's Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 for Ps3, Xbox 360 and PC.
