In return for paying off the Japan's national debt, Mina princess of all vampires, gains permission to create a safe haven for vampires called "the Bund". Tensions run high when Mina reveals the existence of vampires and her desire for both races to live in harmony. Fear on both sides changes begins to change the status quo as vampires and humans come into conflict.. A 12-episode anime has also been produced.

A Character from the action sci fi rpg Mass Effect 2, originally introduced to the game environment in a downloadable episode entitled Kasumi "Stolen Memory". Not much is known about Kasumi as is befitting her galactic renown as infiltrator and Master thief. Kasumi's recruitment contract with Cereburs is contingent on helping her steal back her deceased lover's "graybox", a collection of snapshots of a individual's memories. Kasumi is the only squadmate with tech training who makes use of the Infiltrator's unique class skill. The Japanese word kasumi (霞) means "haze" or "mist".
