The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Movie Poster

First in a trilogy of epic fantasy movies based on J.R.R. Tolkien's novel The Hobbit. The film was directed, co-written and produced by Peter Jackson, starring Martin Freeman as the hobbit Bilbo Baggins.

An Unexpected Journey is to be followed by The Desolation of Smaug (2013) and There and Back Again (2014).
